One of the Best
This is truly one of the best cookbooks I have ever used. The recipes are almost exactly what I have been taught by my father and mother who were taught by their Italian parents. The sauces are absolutely delicious and most are pretty simple, just as Italian cooking should be. Simple and fresh ingredients. The bolognese sauce is perfect as well as the pasta and peas and pasta fagiole. This is an excellent addition to any cook's collection and if you were to have only one cookbook for pasta dishes, this should be the one.

The BEST
I have had this book for years, and it is the best source for authentic, easy to prepare, out of the ordinary pasta recipes from all over Italy. My favorite pasta cookbook of all time! I'm so excited to find it on Amazon.com so I can buy it as a gift for friends!

Perfect every time
No matter what you have in your kitchen this book can make sauce, presentation and stories that are all memorable. I've never made a recipe from it that didn't meet with "rave reviews". I buy it for all my friends who love true Italian cooking. Flor Alda creates dream meals!

Plan title, but spectualar food!
This plan title belies the fact that this book gives accurate descriptions for the perfect spicing of nearly every basic italian dish. The linguini con Calamari is unparalleled. Plus its fun hearing how Alan Alda's parents came upon these dishes.
