Sonically relentless and visually groundbreaking only begin to describe the Tool experience. Formed in Los Angeles, CA in 1990, Tool has cemented themselves in today's hard music community with uncompromising attitude and vision. With just one EP and three album releases over a 15-year span, Tool has created a loyal and even rabid fan base, selling over 10 million albums and half a million videos in the U.S. alone.
More from Tool
With a majority of the songs on 10,000 Days clocking in well past the seven-minute mark, you wouldn't be entirely mistaken in thinking that the title of the album refers to how long it actually takes to make it through the whole thing. Two of the tracks--the sitar and tabla enhanced "10,000 Days (Wings Part 2)" and its suitably epic psych-rock sister "Rosetta Stoned"--even linger on for nearly a dozen leisurely minutes each. That's delightful news for the legion of Tool fans that have been waiting five years for the follow-up to 2001's Lateralus, which debuted at number one and sold 2.3 million copies in the United States. Singer Maynard James Keenan is back on mystical form after his hiatus with the politically slanted A Perfect Circle, sounding at once ethereal and eloquent as he calmly charges through the metal tempest of the opening track "Vicarious." The rest of the band, meanwhile, hits a series of high-flying moments with tracks such as "Jambi" and "The Pot." When Tool sounds as good as it does on these songs it's hard to get enough. Which makes it all the more baffling that a surprisingly large chunk of the disc is given over to mood-enhancing soundscapes like "Lost Keys" and "Vigniti Tres." Who has time for filler? --Aidin Vaziri

Every home needs a good set of basic tools, and kits are a great way to get them at a considerable savings. Three things make Denali’s 115-piece kit stand out—the price, an exceptional selection of screwdriver bits, and last but not least, the bag. In fact, it’s hard to find a set of tools as extensive as this for anywhere near this price. If purchased separately, these items would cost $150.00
This kit includes all of the tools you need for just about any household chore, from hanging pictures to fixing a leaky faucet. They are of good quality and should handle all of your household chores and repairs for many years to come. Going through this kit, I really appreciated little touches rarely seen in basic tool sets, like the soft-grip rubber cover on the tape measure that makes it easy and comfortable to hold, and the dizzying array of bits that come with the ratcheting screwdriver handle. But what’s really brilliant is that all of these tools come in a heavy-duty nylon bag. Most tool sets come in big, flat blow-molded cases that can be awkward to store and carry. Plus, some tools invariably fall out when you open the case. That’s why most professionals, after buying a tool set, will throw away the case it came in and go out and buy a separate tool bag or chest to store their tools. The Denali kit’s bag fits easily under a sink cabinet (it actually is the size of a breadbox), and has both a shoulder strap and hand-straps that Velcro together, making it easy to carry around. The mouth of the bag has metal stabilizing rods in the zipper, so it opens wide and stays open, meaning you can set it down, and easily get to any of the tools inside while you are working. There are a ton of pockets lining the inside and outside of the bag to carry little things like nails, screws, tape, picture hangers—all of the little things that seem to crowd your kitchen drawers. Of course, what are most important are the tools themselves. Again, this is a well-appointed set of quality tools that should outfit you for just about any household need. Here is a complete tally. What’s In The Bag Torpedo Level Tape measure Heavy-duty zinc utility knife with rubber grip Wrenches
Wow, you’d never imagine needing a star-drive screwdriver, until you buy that fancy new European dishwasher. Denali’s kit includes a ratcheting handle with a selection of interchangeable bits to provide an exceptional array of screwdrivers in all sizes and head shapes. The ratcheting handle is a nice feature, making it a lot easier to drive screws that are upside down or in tough to see places, where you really don’t want release pressure on the screwdriver handle to keep turning it.
This is interesting, since the kit doesn’t come with a drill. The manufacturers apparently assume that either you have a cordless drill and will appreciate a couple of good bit sets, or that if you don’t have one, you should get one. They’re right. If you don’t have a good, basic, cordless drill, you’ll appreciate it when you do. Check out Amazon's selection of cordless drills.

Media Type: CD Artist: TOOL Title: AENIMA Street Release Date: 10/01/1996 Genre: HEAVY METAL With its heavy-duty distortion, weighty rhythms, and cynical lyrics, Tool is a heavy metal band for the '90s. Rather like Metallica circa ...And Justice for All, the sound is focused heavily on texture, with vocals and guitars layered one atop the other, and heart-pounding drums underlying everything. There's not a whole lot of variety on Tool's second full-length album--most of the songs start off fairly low-key, kicking into high gear for the chorus, and repeat--but Maynard James Keenan's distinctive voice, the prog-rock stylings over a heavy metal base, and a supremely unhealthy dose of vitriol make this the perfect album to bang your head to. --Genevieve Williams

When your "Check Engine" light comes on, the Black & Decker AD950 self-diagnostic tool displays the same information stored in a car’s computer that a mechanic uses to diagnose and fix problems. When the "Check Engine" light comes on, for cars manufactured after 1995, insert the SmartScan in the OBDII port near the steering wheel column. The easy-to-read LED screen displays the fault code – the same information a mechanic will see – for why the "Check Engine" light illuminated. The SmartScan is sold with a reference manual of the fault codes which easily stores in the glove compartment. Urgency Indicators also display how serious the problem is. Arrow pointing to green bar indicates the car’s computer is not reporting a problem, and the Smart Scan has the ability to turn off the “Check Engine” light. Arrow pointing to yellow bar indicates the car should be looked at in the next five days. Arrow pointing to amber bar indicates a mechanic should see the car soon before further damage can occur. Arrow pointing to red bar indicates an immediate repair is needed. Catch minor problems before they become big – and expensive. Visit a mechanic armed with knowledge about what is wrong, including which parts might be affected, and don’t be charged for unnecessary repairs. If buying a used car, evaluate the overall condition of the car before purchasing.
The next time your vehicle's Check Engine Light comes on, will you know what to do? The Black & Decker Smart Scan AD925 Diagnostic Tool quickly and easily provides color-coded diagnostic information--detailing both the cause of the Check Engine Light, and severity of the problem. This information can potentially save you hundreds or thousands of dollars in costly repair bills.
Get Critical Information That's Easy To Understand The compact Black & Decker Smart Scan AD925 is compatible with virtually all automobiles sold in North America after 1995. It easily attaches to your vehicle's ODB-II port, which is typically located under the dash near the steering column. Once connected, the Smart Scan A925's Urgency Indicator will instantly alert you to the severity of the problem and tell you if it's safe to continue driving. An arrow pointing the green bar indicates no problem, while an arrow pointing to the yellow bar indicates that the vehicle should be examined in the next 5 days. When the arrow points to the amber bar, a mechanic should check the vehicle before further damage occurs. If the arrow points to the red bar, an immediate repair is needed. The Smart Scan AD925 also provides you with the diagnostic codes that are causing the Check Engine Light to come on. These are the same codes that a mechanic uses to diagnose and repair your car. The Smart Scan AD925 stores these codes in its memory, and can be attached to your computer through a USB connection for in-depth research on Black & Decker's Check Engine Light Help Center. This site provides you with probable causes for the Check Engine Light, symptoms you might experience, and tells you what components are most likely involved. The USB connection also provides updates to the Smart Scan AD925, allowing you to stay current with new diagnostic codes. Black & Decker also includes a compact code reference guide for on-the-road diagnostics. Once you have determined what codes are causing the Check Engine Light to come on, the Smart Scan AD925 gives you the option of erasing the codes and turning off the Check Engine Light--all without visiting a mechanic.
Save Money and Be Informed When You Talk To Your Technician The information provided by the Black & Decker Smart Scan AD925 can potentially save owners hundreds or thousands of dollars in repairs. Do-it-yourselfers can catch and repair minor issues before they become large, expensive problems. What's more, the Smart Scan AD925 arms automobile owners of all experience levels with the information they need before visiting a mechanic. This knowledge can help prevent you from being charged for costly, unnecessary repairs. Publisher: Black & Decker

Media Type: CD Artist: TOOL Title: UNDERTOW Street Release Date: 09/17/1996 Genre: HEAVY METAL Arguably their finest album, this follow-up to Opiate showcases Tool at their best, assisted by clean, crisp production, without the muddiness of Aenima. Edgy guitar riffs are complemented by spitting, heavy bass, especially on "Sober" and "Crawl Away". Lyrically, Tool are at their vitriolic best, targeting religious hypocrisy ("Intolerance," "Sober"; always a popular theme), the loss of innocence and its consequences ("Prison Sex"), and deliberate ignorance ("Swamp Song"). Henry Rollins makes a guest appearance on "Bottom," which, along with "4 Degrees," deals with questions of identity. Undertow is also Tool's most musically adventurous album, lacking the occasionally numbing sameness of Aenima, and with considerably more sophistication than their previous work. Very highly recommended. --Genevieve Williams

Awesome black t-shirt with blue 'TOOL' logo on front surrounded by a glowing web, and a collage of nerve endings on the back of the shirt. Quality features include Anvil pre-shrunk cotton t-shirt with tear-away label to prevent chafing at the neck, with attached 'Genuine Tool Merchandise' tag. Medium-weight short sleeve t-shirt. Tool, formed by Danny Taylor and Justin Chancellor, originally called 'Toolshed', started with a heavy metal sound on their first LP; seen at the top of the alternative metal movement with the release of their second LP, Ænima, in 1996. Tool has won 3 Grammy's including the album 10,000 Days, for "Best Hard Rock Performance" and the single, 'The Pot.' Tool incorporates visual arts and relatively long and complex releases; the band is generally described as a style-transgressing act and part of progressive and art rock. This tee is a great gift for any Tool fan, or add it to your music memorabilia collection.
